My name is Jimmy Mariani and I have been a tattoo artist for 17+ years. I started tattooing in Philadelphia, at a shop with a carnival like atmosphere. South street, a place surrounded by plenty of bars, restaurants, music venues and even other tattoo shops. There were three other shops on the same block and two others with in 10 blocks. Needless to say, it was the place to come if you were looking for a tattoo; and back then it was really the only place. I probably did more tattoos in two years then some will do in a career. After a crazy start, I moved to South Florida where I was lucky enough to work for Bruce Bart. Working for Bruce was way different then what I was use to. It was more about the quality than the quanity, and more of a custom shop opposed to a walk-in street shop. After working with some great artists and a couple years of fun in the sun, it was back to Philly. I have also worked in Amsterdam, New York, New Jersey and North Carolina, before finally settling down back in PA at a shop just outside the city (Studio One Tattoo). There, I was also fortunate; working with some of the best artists in the business. And finally, full circle, back at Bruce Bart Tattooing. I have always had a passion for art and all things creative. I draw everyday, and I am still inspired by new ideas. I take pride in every tattoo striving for perfect line work and the most solid color. My favorite styles are traditional and Black and Grey, but come to the table with a lot of life experience capable of any tattoo, any size, any style.
